BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 41-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday near Neptune Avenue and West 33rd Street in the Coney Island area, police said.
Officers from the 60th Precinct responded to a 911 call at approximately 7:19 a.m. and found the man unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
The victim was transported by EMS to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.
No arrests have been made, and investigators are working to determine the circumstances leading to the shooting.
The investigation remains active, police said Sunday.
