Queens deli sells top-prize lottery ticket

The winning ticket was purchased at 113th Gourmet Deli on Jamaica Avenue

RICHMOND HILL, NY – A Saturday night TAKE 5 drawing produced a single top-prize ticket, and the New York Lottery says it was sold at a neighborhood deli on Jamaica Avenue in Richmond Hill.

The winning ticket came from 113th Gourmet Deli, located at 113-21 Jamaica Ave.

According to the New York Lottery, the ticket won the top prize in the Sept. 6 TAKE 5 evening drawing and is worth $27,688.

No other top-prize winning ticket was announced for that evening drawing.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The New York Lottery holds drawings twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Draw-game prizes of any amount can be claimed for up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery reported contributing $3.6 billion during fiscal year 2025-2026 to support public schools across the state.
