$875K cash option claimed by Passaic County scratch-off winner

by Local News Report

TRENTON, NJ — A Passaic County resident has won the top prize in the New Jersey Lottery’s “Win for Life!” scratch-off game, securing $5,000 a month for life, officials announced Monday.

The winner, who purchased the ticket on Dec. 31 at Valley Spa on East Main Street in Little Falls, opted for the $875,200 cash payout instead of the $1.5 million annuity.

The “Win for Life!” game, which launched in October, still has two top prizes available, according to lottery officials.

In another recent win, a Burlington County player captured the top prize in the $250,000 Crossword game on Jan. 2. That ticket was sold at the Lumberton Walmart on Route 38.

The New Jersey Lottery has contributed nearly $33.7 billion to the state since its inception in 1970, supporting programs and services, including public employee pensions.
