WASHINGTON, DC — A suspect involved in an attempted robbery in Northwest Washington was captured on surveillance footage, and officials are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual.

The incident occurred on Sunday, December 15, at approximately 5:24 p.m. in the 2000 block of Vermont Avenue, Northwest. The suspect reportedly approached the victim and attempted to snatch their cell phone before fleeing the scene.

Images of the suspect have been released, and investigators are urging anyone who recognizes the individual or has information about the incident to come forward. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
