14-year-old arrested in armed robbery and shooting in Munhall

A teenager faces charges after a robbery and shooting in Munhall left a woman injured.

MUNHALL, Pa. — Allegheny County police have arrested a 14-year-old male in connection with an armed robbery that resulted in the shooting of a 30-year-old woman in Munhall.

The incident occurred on March 25, 2024, at approximately 10:53 p.m., in the 2900 block of Main Street. According to police, the victim was outside a residence when an armed male wearing a ski mask approached her and demanded money. An altercation ensued, during which the suspect shot the woman once in the leg before fleeing the scene.

The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

Munhall Police requested assistance from the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit. Detectives used witness interviews, surveillance footage, and evidence collected at the scene to identify the suspect.

After consultation with the district attorney’s office, the 14-year-old suspect was charged as a juvenile with aggravated assault and robbery.
