Jackson fire crews battle structure fire for hours in non-hydrant area

by Breaking Local News Report

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Firefighters from all four Jackson Fire Companies responded to a structure fire Saturday afternoon, operating for nearly four hours before returning to their stations.

The fire broke out in Station 56’s first due area around 4:45 p.m., prompting Assistant Chief 5610 to request a second alarm upon arrival. The Millstone Township Fire Department and other mutual aid partners were called to assist, while additional units covered Jackson’s firehouses.

Due to the fire’s location in a non-hydrant area, all of the township’s tanker trucks were deployed to supply water. Firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the flames as crews coordinated efforts at the scene.
