Union County shopper becomes latest Jersey Cash 5 winner with $253K prize

TRENTON, NJ – A Jersey Cash 5 player from Union County won a $253,386 jackpot in the March 7 drawing, marking the second major prize of the week for the New Jersey Lottery game.

The winning ticket was purchased at ShopRite of Linden, located at 637 West Edgar Road. The numbers drawn were 01, 06, 10, 21, and 42, with an XTRA number of 02 and a Bullseye of 01.

Alongside the jackpot winner, 28 players won $500 each by matching four numbers and the Bullseye. Seven additional players also claimed $500 prizes for matching four numbers with the XTRA.

ShopRite of Linden will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

Earlier in the week, a Monmouth County player won a $664,754 jackpot at Krauser’s in Keyport, making it a lucrative week for Jersey Cash 5 participants.
