Two Brooklyn players score big in lottery drawing

BROOKLYN, NY – Two top-prize winning TAKE 5 tickets worth $16,946 each were sold in Brooklyn for the April 1 evening drawing, the New York Lottery announced Tuesday.

The first winning ticket was purchased at TUNG CHENG LIQUORS, located at 253 Kingston Avenue. The second was sold at Y & O FOOD at 4702 Clarendon Road.

TAKE 5 draws five numbers from a field of one through 39 and is held twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Players who match all five numbers win the top prize.

Winning tickets can be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery remains the most profitable lottery in North America, contributing $3.8 billion to public education in the 2023–2024 fiscal year.
