Stabbing on North Capitol Street sparks manhunt for two suspects

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man was hospitalized after being stabbed early Tuesday morning in Northwest Washington as police search for two suspects believed to be involved.

The stabbing occurred just after 4:30 a.m. in the 700 block of North Capitol Street, Northwest. Officers arriving at the scene found the victim suffering from stab wounds. Authorities reported that the man was conscious and breathing when first responders arrived.

Medics transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. No details on the severity of the injuries or the victim’s current condition have been released.

Investigators said two suspects are being sought in connection with the attack. One was described as wearing a black hat and black clothing, while the other was reported to be wearing a black and red sweat suit.

Police offer reward as investigation continues

No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning, and the motive behind the stabbing has not been disclosed.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Officials are urging anyone with information to contact law enforcement at (202) 727-9099 or to text tips anonymously to 50411.
