FLUSHING, N.Y. — A gunman made off with thousands in cash after brazenly robbing a business in broad daylight in Queens on Monday evening, police said.
At approximately 6:50 p.m., the unidentified male entered a commercial establishment at 41-19 Kissena Boulevard, where he approached a 27-year-old woman and displayed a firearm, according to police.
The suspect demanded money and removed approximately $6,000 in cash before fleeing the scene on foot. He was last seen heading westbound on 41st Avenue. No injuries were reported.
The victim was not physically harmed during the incident, and police have not released the name of the business targeted. Surveillance footage from nearby storefronts is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
The NYPD has not announced any arrests in connection with the robbery as of Wednesday.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a camouflage ski mask, a black sweatshirt, black pants, and white sneakers, according to police.
No customers were reported to be inside the business during the robbery, which remains under active investigation.
“The individual then fled the location on foot westbound on 41 Avenue,” police noted in their report.
