WASHINGTON, DC – A 33-year-old man was fatally shot Monday evening in the rear of a residential block in the Trinidad neighborhood of Northeast Washington.
Officers from the Fifth District responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 7:52 p.m. in the 1200 block of Raum Street NE. At the scene, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS transported the man to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as Kalil Jerald Brown of Northeast, D.C.
The shooting is under active investigation. Police are urging anyone with information to call (202) 727-9099 or text the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
