Police investigate shots fired in Middletown neighborhood, no victims reported

MIDDLETOWN, Del. — Police are investigating a confirmed shots fired incident that occurred Friday in a residential neighborhood on the east side of town, according to the Middletown Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire near Kirkcaldy Lane and E. Glen Mare Drive in the Estates at St. Anne’s community. Investigators confirmed that shots were fired, though no injuries or victims have been reported.

The time of the incident was not specified, and no suspects have been identified as of Friday afternoon.

Police are requesting assistance from the public. “We are asking anyone with information or video regarding this incident to please contact Detective Starrett,” the department said in a statement released on social media.

Officials did not indicate whether any property was damaged or if shell casings were recovered at the scene.
