The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. in the mezzanine area of the station, when the employee witnessed an unidentified woman jump the turnstile without paying. As the MTA worker opened a mezzanine door to request the fare be paid, a second woman attempted to enter through the open door.

Both individuals then approached the employee and began punching her multiple times in the face and body. One of the attackers struck the woman several times with a set of keys, causing minor lacerations. The assailants fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
