WHEATON, MD — A Bonus Match 5 ticket worth $50,000 was sold Monday night in Wheaton, marking the Maryland Lottery game’s second top-prize win in less than a week.

The winning ticket for the July 7 drawing was purchased at Elbe’s Beer & Wine, located at 2522 University Boulevard. The numbers drawn were 22, 25, 34, 38, and 39, with a Bonus Ball of 10.

This is the 14th $50,000 top-prize ticket sold in 2025 and follows another win just four days earlier from a ticket sold in Jessup. Elbe’s Beer & Wine will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Bonus Match 5 drawings are held daily. Players pick five numbers from 1 to 39, and one Bonus Ball is drawn from the remaining numbers. Matching all five original numbers wins the $50,000 top prize.

The identity of the Wheaton winner has not been disclosed. The winning ticket must be claimed within 182 days of the drawing.

Maryland Lottery officials require that prizes over $25,000 be claimed through headquarters at the Montgomery Park Business Center in Baltimore, by appointment only.
