SYRACUSE, NY — One lucky ticket sold in Syracuse has matched all six numbers in the July 23 New York LOTTO drawing, winning a $17 million jackpot, lottery officials announced.

The winning ticket was purchased at Polge Wine & Liquors, located at 434 W. Seneca Turnpike.

The LOTTO drawing is held every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:15 p.m., with players needing to match all six numbers drawn from a field of 1 to 59 to win the jackpot. Matching five numbers plus the bonus number earns a second-place prize.

The New York Lottery contributed $3.8 billion to public education across the state in fiscal year 2023-2024, making it North America’s largest and most profitable lottery.
