A United States Postal Service employee has been charged in a credit card theft ring after allegedly stealing cards from the mail during her delivery route in North Bergen, police said.

North Bergen Police announced charges against Eirin Novas and Awilda Taveras-Bido of Newark in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation. Authorities allege Novas intercepted credit cards from residents’ mail and passed them to Taveras-Bido, who used them to make more than $4,000 in fraudulent purchases.
