NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. – A 63-year-old Kearny man has been arrested after investigators accused him of engaging in sexual activity with a juvenile in North Arlington, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Victor A. Fujimoto Diaz was arrested Wednesday in North Arlington and charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact. He was taken to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Superior Court.

The investigation began after state child protection officials contacted county investigators about alleged sexual contact involving a juvenile.
Child Protection Agency Alerted Investigators
On Monday, Aug. 31, the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
The referral concerned alleged sexual contact with a juvenile that authorities said had previously occurred in North Arlington.
Detectives from the prosecutor’s office and North Arlington Police Department opened an investigation.
According to prosecutors, that investigation determined Diaz allegedly “engaged in sexual activity with a juvenile in August 2026.”
Authorities did not disclose the juvenile’s age or relationship, if any, to Diaz. No additional details about the alleged sexual contact were released.
Diaz Arrested in North Arlington
Investigators arrested Diaz in North Arlington on Sept. 2.
He was charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child under New Jersey law and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.
Following his arrest, Diaz was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
The investigation was conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under Chief Jeff Angermeyer and the North Arlington Police Department under Chief Michael Horton.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella thanked North Arlington police for assisting with the investigation.
The prosecutor’s office emphasized that the charges against Diaz are accusations. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
