Maryland Lottery launches Holiday Raffle with $1 million grand prize and thousands of winners
BALTIMORE, MD – The Maryland Lottery is kicking off the holiday season with a limited-time raffle that could turn one lucky ticket into a $1 million payday and award thousands of additional prizes along the way.
The new Holiday Raffle officially launched this week, with ticket sales open now through January 1, 2026, or until all 325,000 tickets are sold. Each ticket costs $20 and is automatically printed with a unique sequential number. There are no numbers to pick, and each ticket number will be entered into four scheduled drawings, including a grand prize draw that could change someone’s new year overnight.
The final drawing on January 2 will award:
- One top prize of $1 million
- Ten second-tier prizes of $100,000
- 1,000 prizes of $500
- 3,000 prizes of $100
- 6,000 prizes of $50
Before the grand prize drawing, there will also be three Early Bird drawings:
- November 24
- December 8
- December 22
Each Early Bird drawing will award one $50,000 prize. While tickets that win an Early Bird prize are no longer eligible for future Early Bird drawings, all raffle tickets, including those that win early, will still be eligible for the January 2 grand prize drawing.
Tickets are available at all Maryland Lottery retailers, including clerk-operated terminals and self-service kiosks. Ticket numbers begin with 000001 and continue sequentially until the cap of 325,000 is reached.
The Maryland Lottery encourages players to purchase early, as once all 325,000 tickets are sold, no additional tickets will be issued. Proceeds from the raffle, like all Lottery games, benefit programs and services across the state.
