Glen Burnie man arrested after rifle threat and gunfire reported on Pamela Road
GLEN BURNIE, MD – A late-night confrontation on a Glen Burnie street ended with one man in custody after police say two suspects armed with firearms confronted a group before one pointed a rifle and the other fired multiple shots into the air.
Officers responded to Pamela Road around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of gunfire. The investigation determined that the two suspects approached a group in the 400 block and brandished weapons during the encounter. The recovered items matched descriptions provided to officers during the initial response.
The arrested individual, identified as 40-year-old Luis Emmanuel Mendez-Matos of Glen Burnie, was taken into custody and charged. Charges for the second suspect remain pending as detectives continue reviewing evidence and conducting additional interviews.
