QUEENS, NY – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 14-year-old girl who vanished after leaving her home in Queens on Thursday afternoon.
Investigators said Tosanmilore Olanipekun was last seen around 4:30 p.m. leaving her Aquatic Drive home.
Olanipekun is described as a Black female, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing around 170 pounds, with black hair.
She was last seen wearing a black school uniform and carrying a navy-blue backpack, according to police.
Family members reported her missing after she failed to return home later that evening.
Police urge public assistance
The NYPD has distributed Olanipekun’s description citywide and is coordinating with local precincts and transit units to locate her.
Detectives are reviewing neighborhood security footage and checking nearby transit hubs as part of the ongoing search.
