Surveillance captures suspect breaking into Wilkes-Barre business in early morning burglary

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A commercial burglary in the early hours of Sunday morning is under investigation after a suspect broke into a business on North Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and damaged office property before fleeing the scene.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on November 23, officers responded to 195 North Wilkes-Barre Boulevard for a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers found that a side door had been forcibly breached to gain entry into the building.

Once inside, the suspect pried open an interior office door, damaging the door frame in the process. Surveillance footage reviewed at the scene showed the individual moving through various areas of the business before exiting through the same door used for entry.

The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department has not publicly identified the suspect and is actively investigating the break-in. Anyone with information is urged to contact the department.
