Clerk shoved in Christiana Mall Levi’s robbery as suspect flees with cash

Newark, DE — A Levi’s store inside Christiana Mall was the scene of a robbery Monday evening after a suspect assaulted an employee and fled with cash, prompting an active investigation by the Delaware State Police Robbery Unit.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on December 1, troopers were called to the popular shopping center at 132 Christiana Mall Road following a report of a robbery in progress. According to preliminary findings, an unidentified Black male suspect entered the Levi’s store, shoved a store clerk who was counting money at the time, and forcibly took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing the area.

No injuries were reported, but police say the case remains under investigation. Detectives from Delaware State Police Troop 2’s Robbery Unit are reviewing available evidence and working to identify the suspect.
