Two Powerball players in Parsippany win $200K each as jackpot climbs to $1.25 billion
TRENTON, NJ — Two lucky lottery players in Parsippany each won $200,000 in Monday’s Powerball drawing after matching four white balls, the red Power Ball, and selecting the multiplier — while a third player in Cumberland County claimed a $50,000 prize in the same draw.
The winning numbers for the December 15 drawing were 23, 35, 59, 63, 68, and Power Ball 02. The multiplier was 04, boosting the standard $50,000 prize to $200,000 for the two players who added the Power Play option.
The $200,000 winning tickets were sold at Wawa #8302, located at 350 New Road, and Parsippany Shell at 25 Route 46 East — both in Parsippany, Morris County. The $50,000 ticket was sold at Holly City Cold Cuts and Deli, 605 North 10th Street, in Millville, Cumberland County.
No one hit the jackpot Monday night, pushing the top prize to an estimated $1.25 billion — the sixth-largest Powerball jackpot in history. The cash value for Wednesday’s drawing is estimated at $572.1 million.
In the separate Double Play drawing, 12 players won $500 for matching four white balls, and 26 others matched three white balls plus the Double Play ball to win the same amount. The Double Play drawing featured numbers 20, 23, 38, 42, 65, and Double Play ball 19.
This jackpot run began after the record-setting $1.8 billion jackpot was split by winners in Missouri and Texas on September 6. Since then, 43 New Jersey players have claimed Powerball prizes of $50,000 or more — including one $2 million winner and five $1 million winners.
