Four suspects assault and rob victims in bold daytime attack at Columbus business

Columbus, OH – Four men stormed into a westside business late Thursday afternoon, assaulting two people during a brazen daylight robbery before fleeing with a cellphone and attempting to steal more, investigators said.

The violent hold-up unfolded around 4:36 p.m. inside a business located in the 1700 block of Hilliard Rome Road, where surveillance cameras captured four male suspects entering the premises. One suspect snatched a victim’s cellphone while the other three began attacking both victims, police said. The group then tried to make off with additional items, but fled the scene shortly after.

No weapons were mentioned in the initial report, and the extent of the victims’ injuries remains undisclosed. Investigators are actively searching for leads and are urging the public to come forward with any tips that could identify the suspects.
