Fraudster hijacks Stafford resident’s identity to open loans

STAFFORD, VA – A Stafford resident learned on Thursday that someone had fraudulently opened multiple loan accounts under their name, sparking a financial investigation.

Deputy N. D. Fonseca responded to the complaint on Jett Street just after 1 p.m., where the victim explained they were alerted to the unauthorized accounts. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

The case is under investigation.
