Driver with liquor in Solo cup arrested for DUI in Stafford
STAFFORD, VA – A speeding violation led to a DUI arrest Friday night after deputies found an open container of liquor inside the vehicle of a Stafford man.
Deputy R. T. Philippsen stopped the driver near Acadia Street and Richmond Highway at 10:52 p.m. for speeding. The driver, Jawaan Allen, 39, of Midland, had an open Solo cup with liquor and showed signs of impairment.
He refused a breath test and was charged with DUI, refusal, speeding, and drinking while driving.
