Shots fired at moving vehicle during high-speed chase through Gambrills

GAMBRILLS, MD – A drive through a quiet part of Gambrills turned dangerous late Thursday when a group of aggressive drivers pursued a vehicle before someone in one of the trailing cars opened fire, striking the rear passenger compartment.

The victims told officers they were driving near Dicus Mill Road and Gambrills Road around 8:50 p.m. when several vehicles began tailgating and driving erratically behind them. As they tried to get away, a shooter from one of the suspect cars fired multiple rounds. At least one bullet entered the back of the victims’ vehicle.

The victims continued fleeing the scene and later contacted Anne Arundel County Police. No injuries were reported. Detectives are actively investigating and asking the public for tips.
