Shots fired in Magnolia prompt police investigation

Magnolia, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred early Friday morning. At approximately 9:30 a.m., troopers responded to the 100 block of Whitetail Lane after receiving reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, troopers located shell casings in the roadway in front of a residence. No injuries were reported, and no homes were struck by the gunfire.

Preliminary investigation indicates that around 2:00 a.m., a dark-colored SUV passed by the residence and discharged multiple rounds toward the home before fleeing the scene.

The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate this incident.
