Milwaukee man says girlfriend asked him to shoot her where his name was tatooed; her forehead

MILWAUKEE, WI – A 29-year-old man has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide after police say he shot and killed a woman inside a local motel room in what investigators described as a “disturbing and deliberate act.”

According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Law&Crime, officers with the Milwaukee Police Department responded to the Port Motel on Appleton Avenue around 2:38 p.m. on January 14 after receiving a “dead on entry” call. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found 29-year-old Alicia Machnik unresponsive on a bed with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the suspect, identified as Lance Devon White, also 29, allegedly told authorities that Machnik asked him to shoot her “at the spot” where she had his name tattooed on her forehead. Police said they discovered White’s state identification card, birth certificate, debit card, and Social Security card inside the motel room, linking him directly to the scene.

White was later taken into custody and booked into the Milwaukee County Jail, where he faces one count of first-degree intentional homicide. Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including the nature of the relationship between White and Machnik.
