San Diego, CA – The San Diego Police Department is investigating a double homicide after a man and woman were found dead early Monday morning on the 100 block of 27th Street in the Grant Hill neighborhood.
Police said the incident was reported at approximately 12:26 a.m. on January 19, when an anonymous caller alerted dispatchers to two people lying in the street, one of whom appeared to be injured. Responding officers arrived and found both victims, a Hispanic man and woman believed to be in their late 20s to early 30s, deceased from apparent homicidal violence.
While searching the area, officers located a vehicle parked near the victims. Inside, they discovered three young children, all under the age of two, who appeared unharmed. The children were placed in protective custody as homicide detectives began processing the scene.
