Stolen SUV chase ends with arrest after midnight theft in Linthicum

LINTHICUM, MD – A late-night stop at a business turned into a brief pursuit on Nursery Road after a woman allegedly jumped into a running SUV and drove off, only to be tracked down minutes later and taken into custody.

The incident unfolded around 12:55 a.m. in the 700 block of Nursery Road when a female victim left her gray 2025 Chevy Trailblazer running while she went inside a business. Investigators said a female suspect entered the vehicle and drove away.

With the help of a witness, the victim followed the stolen SUV as it traveled through the area. The vehicle eventually came to a stop near the intersection of Nursery Road and Hammonds Ferry Road.

The suspect then attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by responding officers.

Jaclyn Marie Johnson, 38, listed as having no fixed address, was arrested in connection with the theft. The investigation remains ongoing.
