Man slashed in broad daylight attack on Lexington Avenue as suspect remains at large
MANHATTAN, NY – A 30-year-old man was left with a severe facial laceration after being slashed by an unidentified suspect in a mid-afternoon attack on Lexington Avenue, and police are now searching for the person responsible.
The assault occurred Monday, Jan. 19, at approximately 3:00 p.m. in front of 315 Lexington Avenue, according to the New York City Police Department.
Investigators said the victim was approached from behind by an unidentified individual who displayed a sharp instrument and slashed him on the right side of his face.
The victim sustained a severe laceration. Additional details about his condition were not immediately released.
No arrests have been made, and the suspect remains unidentified. The investigation is ongoing.
