Woman Wanted After 69-Year-Old Man Punched Inside Bronx Subway Elevator

Police say the suspect repeatedly punched the elderly victim during a dispute inside a Bedford Park Boulevard station elevator.

Bronx, NY – Police are searching for a woman accused of attacking a 69-year-old man inside a Bronx subway station elevator earlier this month.

The assault occurred around 6:20 p.m. on Monday, March 9, inside the Bedford Park Boulevard subway station, according to the NYPD.

Dispute turns violent in subway elevator

Investigators said the unidentified woman became involved in a verbal dispute with the victim while both were inside the elevator at the station.

During the confrontation, the woman allegedly struck the man in the face multiple times with a closed fist.

Authorities did not immediately release details about the victim’s injuries.

Suspect fled the scene

After the assault, the woman fled the station on foot, heading eastbound along Bedford Park Boulevard.

Police have not yet released a description of the suspect as the investigation continues.
