Gym argument over phone turns into assault arrest inside sauna
STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A disagreement over cellphone use inside a sauna escalated into a physical altercation at a local YMCA.
The incident happened Thursday, March 27 when an argument broke out over facility policy regarding phone use.
According to reports, the situation turned physical when the suspect grabbed the victim’s phone and pushed them backward, causing them to fall.
A witness confirmed the sequence of events.
The suspect, David Lemke, 48, of Fredericksburg, admitted to pushing the victim and was arrested on assault and battery charges.
He was later released on an unsecured bond.
