Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of forcibly touching a 17-year-old girl aboard an F train approaching the Smith–9 Street subway station in Brooklyn.

The New York City Police Department is searching for a suspect following the reported forcible touching of a teenage girl aboard a Brooklyn-bound subway train Thursday afternoon.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred on June 25 at approximately 12:40 p.m. while a 17-year-old female was riding a Brooklyn-bound F train approaching the Smith–9 Street station.

Police allege the unidentified suspect forcibly grabbed the victim’s buttocks during the incident.

Investigation underway

The suspect fled the area following the incident, according to police.

Authorities have not released a description of the individual or announced any arrests.

The investigation remains ongoing.
