A Powerball player in Columbus is holding a $50,000 winning ticket after matching five numbers in the latest drawing.

COLUMBUS, OH — A Powerball player in Columbus is $50,000 richer after a winning ticket was sold for the Wednesday, July 8, drawing, according to the Ohio Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lucky Choice, located at 577 W. Nationwide Blvd. in Columbus.

Lottery officials said the ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball to win the game’s $50,000 third-tier prize.

The winning numbers were 12, 37, 43 and 55, with Powerball 18.

After required state and federal tax withholdings of 26.75%, the winner will receive approximately $36,625.

The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15, with an estimated jackpot of $498 million.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., with ticket sales closing at 10 p.m.
