BALTIMORE, Md. — A 53-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in the leg Sunday night on West Lexington Street, and Baltimore Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Officers responded at approximately 10:29 p.m. Sunday to the 2600 block of West Lexington Street after receiving a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found the 53-year-old victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.

Medics transported the man to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Southwest District shooting detectives are investigating the incident.
