Police are asking the public for information.
BALTIMORE, Md. — A man was fatally shot Saturday night in Baltimore’s Southwest District, prompting a homicide investigation as detectives work to identify those responsible.
Officers responded at approximately 9:42 p.m. Saturday to the 200 block of North Payson Street after receiving a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found an unidentified adult man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken by medics to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Baltimore Police homicide detectives are investigating the shooting and have not released the victim’s identity.
