Police are offering up to $25K for information.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 43-year-old Northeast DC man was fatally shot late Thursday on Saratoga Avenue, and the Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25K for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Officers responded at approximately 11:10 p.m. Thursday to the 1400 block of Saratoga Avenue in Northeast DC after receiving a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead after finding no signs consistent with life.

Police identified the victim as Darrius Coghill, 43, of Northeast DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the shooting as a homicide.
