Berkeley Township, NJ – Berkeley Township Mayor John Bacchione joined state legislators and residents at Holiday City Berkeley last week for a legislative committee meeting aimed at discussing issues impacting the community.
The meeting, held Wednesday, July 22, at the Holiday City Berkeley Clubhouse II, brought together Mayor Bacchione, State Sen. Carmen Amato Jr., Assemblyman Brian Rumpf, and residents for a discussion on local and state matters. The event was hosted by Marguerite Penn.
Mayor thanks residents and organizers
In a statement following the meeting, Bacchione expressed appreciation to Holiday City Berkeley for hosting the event and emphasized the importance of collaboration between elected officials and residents.
“On behalf of Berkeley Township, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Holiday City Berkeley for graciously hosting a Legislative Committee meeting,” Bacchione said. “It is always an honor to share the floor with Senator Carmen Amato and Assemblyman Brian Rumpf.”
The mayor also thanked Penn for organizing the event and recognized committee members, volunteers, and residents who attended.
Focus on civic engagement
Bacchione said community meetings like the one held at Holiday City Berkeley provide an opportunity for elected officials to hear directly from residents while working together on solutions to local concerns.
“It is through partnerships like this, where we can come together to discuss the issues that matter most to our residents and work toward meaningful solutions,” he said. “By working together and listening to one another, we strengthen our communities and our state.”
Holiday City Berkeley is one of Berkeley Township’s largest active adult communities and regularly hosts meetings and events involving local government and civic organizations.
