Police search for answers after 17-year-old found critically wounded in Southwest Baltimore
BALTIMORE, Md. — A 17-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot overnight in Southwest Baltimore, prompting detectives to search for answers in the city’s latest shooting investigation.
Police responded at about 12:15 a.m. Friday to the 700 block of Lyndhurst Street after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found the 17-year-old suffering from apparent life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The teen was transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Investigators have not released additional information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting or any possible suspect.
