Police say stolen vehicle was recovered the same day in Northeast DC
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Four juveniles were arrested Saturday after police said they threatened to kill a driver, forced him from his vehicle during a carjacking in Northwest DC and were found hours later near the stolen vehicle.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the carjacking occurred at approximately 6:55 a.m. Saturday.
Investigators said the suspects approached a man who was sitting inside his vehicle, threatened to kill him and forcibly removed him from the car before driving away.
Later that day, officers located the stolen vehicle in the 1800 block of Corcoran Street Northeast.
Police searched the surrounding area and located all four suspects nearby.
A 15-year-old boy from Southeast DC, a 14-year-old boy from Southeast DC, a 17-year-old boy from Northeast DC and a 15-year-old girl from Northeast DC were arrested and charged with unarmed carjacking.
Because the suspects are juveniles, their identities have not been released.
