Westchester County retailer lands a winning ticket in Saturday’s drawing

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. — A Westchester County lottery player is holding a Powerball ticket worth $50,000 after it was sold at a Peekskill retailer for the Saturday, Aug. 1 drawing.

The New York Lottery said the winning ticket was purchased at Beer World, located at 1723 Main St. in Peekskill.

The ticket matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball to win a third-tier prize of $50,000.

Lottery officials have not released information about the winner.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
