TOMS RIVER, N.J. – The Ocean County Jail processed multiple new inmates on Monday, with charges ranging from aggravated assault and unlawful weapons possession to eluding police, child endangerment and contempt of court.

Christian Alexander Damico, 27, was incarcerated on a simple assault charge alleging he knowingly caused bodily injury to another person.

Yong Chen, 41, was booked on a charge of aggravated assault causing bodily injury.

Several inmates face obstruction, eluding charges

Edward Ciprian-Hernandz, 24, was booked on charges of hindering his own prosecution by providing false information to law enforcement, obstruction and trespassing after posted warning.

Ernesto T. Oliveira, 32, faces charges of making threats to kill, contempt for violating a court order and harassment.

Juan E. Gil-Mendoza, 31, was committed on multiple hindering prosecution charges, including providing aid and supplying false information to investigators. Jail records also list an immigration detainer and several municipal court detainers.

Joseph Michael Calafiore’s booking included three separate eluding charges in addition to drug possession and obstruction allegations stemming from multiple outstanding cases.
