BRONX, N.Y. – The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying three people wanted in connection with a violent Bronx robbery in which a 52-year-old man was beaten and his iPhone was stolen.
The attack happened July 20 at about 9:18 p.m. in front of 514 Concord Avenue within the NYPD’s 40th Precinct, according to NYPD Crime Stoppers.
Police said the victim was approached from behind by three unidentified individuals. The group allegedly began punching and kicking him about the body, knocking him to the ground.
Suspects Flee Bronx Robbery on Electric Bicycle
As the victim was on the ground, one of the suspects reached into his front pants pocket and took his Apple iPhone, according to police.
All three then escaped from the scene on an electric bicycle, heading north on Concord Avenue toward East 149th Street.
Police released images in connection with the investigation and are asking anyone who recognizes the individuals to contact investigators.
The department did not provide information about the extent of the victim’s injuries or whether he required hospital treatment.
