BRICK, N.J. – There’s a new place to grab a scoop, a cup of coffee or even a bowl of soup in Brick Township.
Jersey Shore Scoops & Soups has opened at 2524 Hooper Avenue, bringing an unusual mix of sweet treats, hot food and coffee to the busy Hooper Avenue corridor. Although an earlier advertisement pictured above says “Coming Soon,” the shop is now open.
The family-owned business was created by Brick residents who say they wanted more than another place to simply pick up dessert. Their goal is to build a neighborhood spot where customers can spend time with friends and family.
New Brick Shop Offers Ice Cream, Italian Ice, Soups and More
The menu combines several things customers might normally visit separate businesses to find.
Jersey Shore Scoops & Soups advertises ice cream, Italian ice and coffee alongside soups, paninis and crepes. Its promotional material describes the concept as offering “sweet treats,” “good vibes” and “Jersey flavors.”
That combination gives customers options whether they’re looking for a cold dessert during the summer, coffee during the day or something more substantial to eat.
“We are Brick locals wanting to open a place for everyone to have somewhere to stop by with family and friends and enjoy a sweet treat and create memories,” the owners said in introducing the business.
The owners said cleanliness and efficient service are also priorities as they welcome customers into the new shop.
“We strive for efficiency, cleanliness and to create a place for everyone to come and enjoy a scoop or soup, your choice,” the business said.
Family-Owned Cafe Adds Another Local Option on Hooper Avenue
The opening adds another locally owned food business to Ocean County and gives Brick residents a new option beyond traditional ice cream parlors and coffee shops.
Its location at 2524 Hooper Avenue puts the business along one of Brick’s primary commercial corridors, with neighborhoods and shopping centers throughout the surrounding area.
The concept also isn’t limited to one season. Ice cream and Italian ice provide the warm-weather draw, while soups, paninis and coffee give the business offerings that can carry into fall and winter.
For the owners, however, the focus is as much about creating a neighborhood gathering place as it is about the menu.
