LANCASTER, Pa. — A 44-year-old man has been sentenced to up to 20 years in state prison after pleading guilty to raping a woman at knifepoint inside a Lancaster residence.
Judge Todd Brown sentenced Jose Miguel Matos-Seda to six and a half to 20 years in prison after Matos-Seda pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to one count of rape, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.
The assault happened in March 2025 at a residence in the 200 block of East King Street in Lancaster.
Prosecutors said Matos-Seda held a knife to the woman’s throat and forced her to undress. He then covered her mouth to keep her from screaming and threatened to stab her 100 times if she refused to have sex with him.
- Matos-Seda was sentenced to 6½ to 20 years in state prison.
- He pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to a single count of rape.
- The assault occurred at a Lancaster residence in March 2025.
Investigators also obtained social media messages Matos-Seda sent to the victim after the assault. According to prosecutors, the messages included apologies and statements acknowledging that he had raped her.
Matos-Seda had no fixed address listed by authorities.
Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick prosecuted the case. Lancaster City Bureau of Police Detective Ryan Burgett filed the charges.
