The Sept. 4 evening drawing produced matching top-prize wins at stores in Queens and Suffolk County
ASTORIA, NY – Two New York Lottery players turned Thursday night’s TAKE 5 drawing into top-prize wins, with matching tickets sold at businesses in Astoria and Coram.
The New York Lottery announced that both tickets matched the numbers needed to claim the top prize in the Sept. 4 TAKE 5 evening drawing.
One winning ticket was sold at A&C Wendy Grocery, located at 48-04 Broadway in Astoria. The ticket carried a prize of $17,469.50.
The second top-prize ticket was purchased at Rima Cards and Gifts, located at 1844 Route 112 in Coram. That ticket was also worth $17,469.50.
Together, the two tickets accounted for $34,939 in prizes.
TAKE 5 numbers are selected from a field of one through 39. Drawings are held twice each day, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
New York Lottery draw-game prizes can be claimed for up to one year from the date of the drawing.
The New York Lottery contributed $3.6 billion during fiscal year 2025-2026 to support public schools across the state.
