Police say Jose Dominguez-Morales entered Hollywood Diner through an unsecured window and stole two donation boxes
DOVER, DE – Less than a week after being arrested in two separate burglary cases and released on an unsecured bond, a 44-year-old Dover man was back in custody Monday after police accused him of breaking into Hollywood Diner and stealing two donation boxes containing about $300.
Dover Police identified the suspect as Jose Dominguez-Morales.
The latest burglary was reported at approximately 12:02 a.m. Monday at Hollywood Diner, located at 123 North DuPont Highway.
Police said Dominguez-Morales entered the diner through an unsecured window and stole two donation boxes containing approximately $300 before leaving the area on a bicycle.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the diner and recognized Dominguez-Morales, according to the department.
Officers located and arrested him later that afternoon.
The new arrest came less than a week after Dominguez-Morales had been arrested in connection with two separate burglaries. Police said he had been released in those cases on a $9,000 unsecured bond.
Following the Hollywood Diner case, Dominguez-Morales was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on cash bonds totaling $11,550, according to Dover Police.
The allegations against Dominguez-Morales have not been proven in court.
