Video: Frenzied Shark Attack Caught on Video Just a Few Feet from the Beach at the Jersey Shore

BRANT BEACH, LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ – A video posted by Fisherman’s Headquarters to Instagram on Thursday shows a shark snacking on a dolphin right off the coast of Brant Beach down on Long Beach Island.  The video, according to TAP INTO has been confirmed by the local police department who said sharks have been sighted off the shoreline recently. The video was taken at  106th Street Beach.  According to Ocearch, a shark tracking website, no tagged sharks have been in the area.  In 2017, Mary Lee, a 3,456-pound great white shark went silent and hasn’t resurfaced since.

There’s nothing like a good shark attack to kick off the weekend here at the Jersey Shore.

According to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, the dolphin was injured after being struck, possibly by a boat propeller.  The awaiting brown sharks went in for the kill after seeing the dolphin as easy and defenseless meal.
